I want to express my gratitude to Little Taller for the opportunity and trust they have always placed in me. This past year has been filled with learning, challenges, and professional growth, and much of that is thanks to the incredible team and the culture of collaboration they foster.

Working here has allowed me to expand my skills, take on new challenges, and continue growing as a professional. I am excited about what’s to come and grateful to be part of such a talented and inspiring team. Here’s to another great year together!

1. How has your role evolved over the past year, and what new skills or responsibilities have you taken on?

Over the past year, my role has evolved significantly, leading me to take on more responsibilities in both technical and leadership areas.

From a technical perspective, I have focused on improving the performance of WordPress sites, optimizing database queries, implementing more efficient caching strategies, and ensuring faster load times, which directly impacts user experience.

I have also worked on creating more optimized API endpoints, ensuring efficient calls and better data management to reduce latency in applications that rely on them.

One of the biggest challenges was developing an iOS app with external API integration, which allowed me to expand my knowledge of mobile development and explore new ways to connect systems.

Additionally, this year I took on the role of a team lead in several projects, which meant not only coordinating tasks and ensuring deadlines were met but also helping the team improve their workflow and quickly solve technical issues.

2. What project or client engagement from the past year stands out as your favorite, and why did it resonate with you?

If I had to choose a client that always keeps me engaged, it would definitely be Gainsight. I’ve worked with them for years, and every new challenge they bring is an opportunity to innovate. Their needs are always complex and require well-thought-out solutions, making it a rewarding experience.

Another project I truly enjoyed was Nexus, where we developed a fully customized client management platform. This project was particularly interesting because it required a highly tailored solution to meet the client’s needs, which involved designing a robust and scalable architecture. It was an incredible learning experience in both development and client expectation management.

3. Please share a challenge you faced this year and how you overcame it. What did you learn from that experience?

One of the biggest challenges I faced this year was developing an iOS app for Gainsight. This was a completely new experience for me, as I had never worked with Swift or mobile app architecture before.

The challenge was not only learning a new language and framework but also integrating the app with Gainsight's API, ensuring that it could demonstrate its features to clients in an optimized environment.

To overcome this, I focused on learning Swift at an accelerated pace, researching best practices, and leveraging official documentation. Additionally, I worked closely with the Gainsight team to better understand their API and optimize how the app interacted with their services.

From this experience, I learned the importance of adaptability and how embracing new technologies with a proactive mindset can lead to successful outcomes.

4. Little Taller places a big emphasis on ownership and orchestration. How have you seen this reflected in your daily work and how has it impacted your work output this year?

The culture of ownership and orchestration at Little Taller has been crucial to my professional growth. This approach has allowed me not only to work with autonomy but also to take full responsibility for my projects, from conception to delivery.

In my day-to-day work, this means that I don’t just execute assigned tasks—I actively identify opportunities for improvement, optimize processes, and anticipate potential issues before they arise. For example, in projects like Nexus, the ability to make quick decisions and coordinate with the team was essential to ensuring successful development.

This working model has enhanced my contributions, improved my efficiency and productivity, and enabled me to deliver more structured and effective solutions.

5. Looking ahead, what aspects of your professional life are you most excited about developing further in the coming year?

In the coming year, I want to continue deepening my knowledge of backend performance optimization for WordPress sites, exploring advanced database optimization tools and scalable architectures.

I am also eager to further refine my mobile app development skills, particularly in API integrations and creating smooth, intuitive user experiences.

Another key focus for me is strengthening my leadership role, mentoring other developers, and getting more involved in strategic decision-making within projects.

Lastly, I want to continue exploring new technologies and development methodologies that can improve efficiency and bring even greater value to the clients I collaborate with.
